Skywalker–Appalachian Trail book on Kindle for $4.95

Skywalker–Close Encounters on the Appalachian Trail has just been translated into Kindle format for the first time. The price is only $4.95. Also, the book is out in paperback format now for only $9.95. They are both available on the amazon.com website.

Every Appalachian Trail book has its place in the book food chain. Skywalker–Close Encounters on the Appalachian Trail is not your typical hiker “how-to” book. In fact, it is as much about what NOT to do. That seems important as well.

Fortunately, because I never had hiked before, I didn’t have any ego to impede me from telling it the way it was. This book should appeal to all but expert hikers. That is actually rare because most hiking books are written by experts, for other experts, in a narrow “hikerese.”

  1. Hello,

I bought and read and REALLY ENJOYED(!) both your AT and PCT books… mostly because they were under $5.

Best wishes that you experience increased volume of sales for an ultra affordable price!

    • Regarding the price, Kindle works better for everyone. The honest truth is that at that price, the author makes more, the reader pays less, and Amazon pays more. I was slow to see it, but Kindle and e-books are the wave of the future.
