Thank you www.backpackgeartest.org for your glowing review of, ‘Getting High–The Annapurna Circuit in Nepal’. This is the most popular footpath in Asia, and for good reason. This trail’s genius lies in allowing an average person–such as myself–to get to very high elevations (17,768 feet) without having to undertake any technical climbing or seriously endanger your life. At one point I was looking directly at four of the world’s sixteen highest peaks. It is an experience I will always value. Obviously my fellow mortals have had similar experiences as trekkers from around the world come to tiny Nepal to walk the Annapurna Circuit .

Bill Walker is the author of Getting High–The Annapurna Circuit in Nepal. He is also the author of other outdoor adventure narratives including Skywalker–Close Encounters on the Appalachian Trail, Skywalker–Highs and Lows on the Pacific Crest Trail, and The Best Way–El Camino de Santiago.
