The audio is 7 hours and 53 minutes in length and the narrator is none other than the author himself, Bill Walker (‘Skywalker’). That is unusual because Amazon usually hires a third party to do the recording, although exception are sometimes made for non-fiction. In this case, Walker suggested it would be a good idea to do the recording himself, in order to put all the scenes and conversation in the most accurate context. “The Pacific Crest Trail is a tour of one’s psyche,” Walker commented; the reader (and the listerner) should understand that.”

Bill Walker is the author of Skywalker–Highs and Lows on the Pacific Crest Trail. He is also the author of Skywalker–Close Encounters on the Appaalachian Trail, as well as The Best Way–El Camino de Santiago. Walker, who is nearly 7-feet tall, is currently working on a book on the subject of height.
